2026 Budget

The Draft 2026 Budget was presented to Council on November 3, 2025. It is anticipated that the 2026 Budget will be adopted on December 8, 2025.

The City consults with the community throughout the budget process – at the beginning when drafting the budget, when the draft budget is released, and before approval of the budget.

Each year, Council considers the needs of the community, expected service levels, and legislated responsibilities as it reviews the operating and capital budgets for the City of Peterborough.

Engagement opportunities include casual drop-in style meetings, brief presentations followed by one-on-one conversations with the City's budget team, the annual budget survey, and the formal Council meeting process that includes opportunities for official delegations to Council.
