The City of Peterborough is developing an Economic Development Strategic Plan that will help the City shape its economic future.
The world continues to evolve and change and with this change so does the City’s economy. To build on its successes, Peterborough is creating a clear, actionable, and comprehensive direction for economic development, that responds to changing market conditions, addresses unique local challenges, and identifies future opportunities.
The Plan will position Peterborough for inclusive, sustainable and innovative economic growth over the next five years.
The City has engaged McSweeney & Associates, a management consulting firm considered industry leaders in Community and Economic Development, to facilitate the strategy development process. McSweeney & Associates is being supported by City Staff.
Over the following weeks, McSweeney & Associates will facilitate interviews and small in-person focus group sessions with selected representatives of key interest groups including local businesses, organizations and community groups, and Council.

To collect your specific thoughts and ideas, we ask that you take approximately 10 minutes of your time to complete the community survey below.
Please note, all survey responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. Responses will be collated by City Economic Development staff, and a summary report will be produced by McSweeney & Associates.
The survey will be available until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 27.
At the end of the survey, you’ll find voluntary and confidential demographic questions. The information collected will help us understand who is participating in the process, whether we’re reaching a broad range of communitymembers and how we can improve participation and remove barriers.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to provide your feedback.
