Phase 2 Study Areas

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

The City of Peterborough continues to address community concerns about traffic as it begins Phase 2 of Calm Streets PTBO, studying an additional three areas to establish potential traffic calming opportunities. The City is beginning studies on:

  • High Street between Lansdowne Street and Sherbrooke Street
  • Highland Road between Chemong Road and Fairbairn Street
  • Whitefield Drive, Golfview Road, and Silverdale Road

The City and its consultants will assess current conditions in each of the Phase 2 pilot study areas and apply the Neighbourhood Traffic Calming Policy to produce a Traffic Calming Plan. The Traffic Calming Plan will be informed by conversations and input from residents, business owners, and property owners in the study areas. Opportunities for feedback will include online questionnaires, community workshops, and outreach from the Calm Streets PTBO ambassador team.

The City is currently seeking feedback from residents, business owners, and property owners in the three study areas to identify traffic issues. The online questionnaire is available until Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:59 pm.

Individuals who wish to receive updates about the Phase 2 studies are encouraged to sign-up for updates using the “Subscribe” feature located at the top right corner of this page.
