What's Happening

The City of Peterborough is developing a plan for the rejuvenation of Keith Wightman Park. The park is located at 858 St. Mary's Street in Ward 1. This plan will be used to develop a vision for the park and identify priorities for future park improvements.

Keith Wightman Park was identified as a priority when the City of Peterborough conducted a comprehensive consultation program to assess the existing City parks and open spaces.

The Assessment of Parks and Open Space and Parks Development Standards documents provided an evaluation of the quality and functionality of established neighbourhood parks and identified those in need of rejuvenation. City parks will incorporate features for all ages with a focus on improving accessibility within the parks, as well as accessible paths of travel to parks.
