About our Plan
The purpose of a Community Safety and Well-Being Plan (the Plan) is to develop common priorities to build a community where everyone is safe, included, and part of a community.
To achieve this, the community needs to work together in new ways to address safety and well-being issues through programs and services that are available to all who live, work, and play in the City of Peterborough.
We are renewing our Plan in 2026 and it is important that we hear from community members.
Please take a few moments to share your perceptions and experiences related to community safety and well-being, as well as your suggestions for ways to improve safety and well-being, by filling out the online survey below. You can also use the map to identify the places you feel safe and unsafe in the community.
This survey is very similar to the one we conducted 4 years ago, so we will be able to measure changes over time.
Priority Areas
5 priority areas (see image below) are identified in the current Plan. There is significant evidence to support the complexity and inter-connectedness of these priorities. Many of the issues in the Plan are still significant priorities today. We will adjust these priorities base on current trends, but also based on the input we receive through this survey. Priorities related to Public Safety andInclusion & Belonging are being considered for the new Plan.
Please complete the survey below and use the "Places" tab to identify places on a map you feel safe and unsafe.
