The City of Peterborough is conducting an Effectiveness and Efficiency Review to assess how municipal services are delivered and identify opportunities to improve service quality, customer experience, and value for taxpayers.
Your feedback will help inform recommendations to City Council regarding municipal service delivery.
Submissions will be compiled and shared with the Effectiveness and Efficiency project team for the City of Peterborough as it considers and prepares a report for City Council’s consideration.
The Review includes:
Collecting, reviewing and analyzing data from the City
Assessing selected comparator municipalities to contextualize service delivery
Reviewing service delivery models
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery
Reviewing the organizational structure and staffing levels
Developing recommendations
Preparing a final report with findings, analysis and recommendations
The final report is expected to be presented to City Council in September. It is anticipated that recommendations will be considered as part of the City's 2027 Budget process.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and open to anyone who chooses to respond.
Because this is an open, self-selected survey, respondents are not randomly selected, and registration or verification of residency is not required. As a result, the survey results are not statistically representative of the City of Peterborough population and should not be interpreted as reflecting the views of the community as a whole.
The information collected through this survey will be considered alongside other sources of input, including technical analysis, best practices, operational considerations, financial information, and feedback from subject matter experts and the public.
