Help Choose the Future Public Artwork for the Transit Terminal
The City of Peterborough is inviting you to help select a new public artwork for the Simcoe Street Transit Terminal.
The Simcoe Street Transit Terminal Public Art Project is part of the City of Peterborough’s ongoing improvements to the transit terminal, supported through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP). The project will introduce a large-scale, site-specific artwork integrated into the exterior of the terminal, helping create a more welcoming, vibrant, and accessible public space for transit riders and the broader community.
Following an open Expression of Interest process, three artist teams were shortlisted and invited to develop concept proposals. Community feedback is an important part of the final selection process, and residents are encouraged to review the concepts and vote for the proposal they feel best reflects Peterborough’s identity, diversity, and creativity.
